In this month’s Voice of Averis, Nur Ain Syamira a.k.a Ira talks about the pleasures of being a part of the amazing HR team. Completing her internship with us not only opened up her eyes to brand new information and knowledge but also gave her the opportunity to level-up her skills, which will come in handy in the future for sure! Read on as Ira talks about the most exciting ride she has ever been on.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your decision to join Averis as an intern?
Hello, my name is Nur Ain Syamira, but you can call me Ira. I started my internship in Averis as a Talent Acquisition but I’m now a full-time HR analyst.
- How did you come to know about our internship programme?
I found this internship role on Jobstreet.
- How do you feel about the company and the team you are working with so far?
My internship at Averis was the most exciting ride that I’ve ever been on! Averis has given me the greatest resources and opportunity to further develop my skills and knowledge. It has also given me a sense of responsibility.
- What is the highlight of your time during your internship at Averis?
During my 4 months here as an intern, I had the pleasure to work with the awesome HR team that taught me everything I needed to know. Despite being in a very corporate and professional environment, the atmosphere felt casual and informal. I felt right at home and was super motivated to get my work done.
- Please share with us at least one thing that you learned during your internship and how this has helped/impacted you.
I have learned a lot about various HR roles by participating in several interviews and assessments. I was also given the opportunity to share my feedback as well, which encouraged me to think outside the box a little bit more. The biggest challenge during my internship was helping to coordinate and organise the Management Associate Programme. It was challenging yet exciting.
