L&D, Complementary Team and Building Connectedness at Averis

In this month’s New Joiner Orientation (NJO), our CIO, Mr Patrick Khoo shared the virtual learning platform that was launched earlier this year to make the Learning and Development (L&D) structure for all employees a hybrid one. The highlight of this virtual learning platform is the flexibility, convenience and ease of use. Individuals are able to join from the comfort of their homes and at a time of their own convenience.


Averis has always prioritised the L&D of our people to ensure that all Averians grow together with the company. We constantly rotate and upskill our people, opening doors and offering opportunities to gain wider exposure as well as to move up the career ladder. This is a key element at Averis that keeps our people with us – some for as long as the company is in operation, 15 years! Patrick took this opportunity to walk everyone through the importance of our #TOPICC core values – a set of values that guide us in everything we do at Averis. At the same time, he also emphasised the importance of #BuildingConnectedness, which is the essence of our work culture before and now during this Work-from-Home period.


Wrapping up his session, Patrick elaborated on how the teamwork and dedication of our teams in making our 15th Anniversary Celebration were exemplary of our core value, Complementary Team, as well as our culture of Building Connectedness along our journey at Averis. The celebration campaign entails a series of activities, virtual games, contests, and events including a Gala Celebration with over 700 participants. We even had a care pack and food catered by a 5-star hotel delivered to all participants within Klang Valley.
