In 2023, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives took on a furry twist as we worked alongside SPCA Selangor for our CSR 9.9 campaign.
Why CSR 9.9?
Ever heard of ‘Cats have nine lives’? It’s a testament to their resilience in nature. Canines, or K-9, are known for being loyal and reliable companions. That’s how 9.9 came to be – we brought both ‘9s’ together, representing the heart and soul of the animals that we aim to provide for.
It’s been a heartwarming journey to stand alongside SPCA Selangor through this meaningful initiative.
In total, our collective efforts have garnered over RM10,000 in both cash and kind contributions. This generous support will undoubtedly play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of the shelter’s animals.

Our Fundraising Engagements
1. International Friendship Day
We celebrated International Friendship Day by expressing gratitude through meaningful gifts and we delivered them on behalf of Averians who wanted to surprise their office besties. In total, we received hundreds of orders that brought priceless smiles to many faces.
2. Pre-loved Party
We embraced sustainability and promoted mindful consumption at our Pre-loved Party event, giving new life to pre-loved items and fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility. It was an exciting event and first of its kind where Averians got to browse from a wide collection of clothes, toys, accessories, and many more. Up to 100% of the profits made by each seller were contributed directly to SPCA Selangor.
3. Pet Care Programme Volunteer
We sponsored 20 employees to join the Pet Care Programme, where we got to acquire knowledge about animal socialisation and essential animal hygiene tips. Apart from gaining valuable animal care knowledge, this special initiative grants Averians a long-term volunteering opportunity with SPCA Selangor where they’ll get to assist in various aspects of animal welfare and support the SPCA Selangor’s mission.
4. Run for the Paws Virtual Run
Run for the Paws, a fundraising virtual run, united Averians from Malaysia, China, and even Brazil to run for a special cause. Who knew that within our company, there’s a community of fitness enthusiasts who were more than game to take on the challenge from the comfort of their preferred running route. Moreover, the virtual run fostered a sense of ‘team spirit’ among participants, as they connected virtually to share their progress and celebrate milestones. It also provided an opportunity for team-building beyond the confines of the workplace, strengthening bonds and promoting a healthy lifestyle culture within our global community.
5. SPCA World Animal Day
We had the pleasure of participating in SPCA Selangor ‘s annual World Animal Day event, dedicated to raising funds for animal welfare. Our mini game and face painting booth had the crowd buzzing with glee! We even had the honour of meeting Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin in person. What a truly humbling experience!
6. Christmas Secret Santa Sale
Last December, we spread festive cheer with a Secret Santa sale. Averians took this opportunity to surprise their office bestie while contributing to SPCA Selangor through their purchases. Additionally, the Secret Santa sale served as a heartwarming reminder of the spirit of giving within our company, fostering a sense of unity and generosity among colleagues. It also provided a platform for individuals to not only express gratitude and appreciation but also to support a meaningful cause that aligns with our values.
